Overview Mass media has become a global phenomenon in the contemporary information age, growing rapidly around the world like the rising sun. It contributes substantially to the economy of many countries where more and more products and service awareness are created through massive investment in publicity and media. Most countries and organizations fail to manage their media relations properly. The plethora of adverse publicity often include: spate of defamation, and negative public perception, culminating in economic negative effect, which discourages investment. This faculty seeks to attract attention to the nature and characteristics of the media and marketing industries in most countries, to arouse interest to explore how the industry can be better planned, marketed, and well managed.
Designed for People who want to exploit the opportunities in mass media and marketing, particularly, in management or planning positions in both public and private sectors to reposition the image of their organization. It will be very rewarding for planners who wish to offer quality professional services to the discerning public.
Aims To provide professional training and solid intellectual base, to deepen knowledge and develop skills built upon current techniques and state-of-the-art in planning and plan implementation, and to open new doors of opportunities to develop expertise in the media planning and marketing that has remained largely unexplored.
Objectives The programme seeks to produce highly proficient international planning professionals who possess the requisite knowledge, skills and competence to excel, either as professional planning service providers or as investors and/or executives.
